It depends on the protocol. Avail, Celestia, and Nexus run without one; most others need a node license, keys, or an NFT, which you delegate to your node from Console.
Can I delegate my node license instead of running a node?
Yes, for CARV, 0G, and XAI. You delegate your NFT license to NodeOps, and NodeOps runs the node for a commission from the rewards instead of a monthly fee.
How much does it cost to run a node?
